“Thanks… um… had any luck with any healing books?” Maybe David found something… he’s smart. I really don’t know… what that book is about.”[/b] Jude sighed and nodded.
He went back onto the track to find the book and soon went to set of shelves behind Jude. He kept scanning his hands against the books and looked through them all.
Suddenly, he found a book titled Potions of the Greater Magic; Healing. He looked at it and began flicking through the pages. He was quite greatful that the book didn't cut his hands. He flipped further into the book now and found a potion there...cure any illness or wound.
He stared at it, could this be it? ''D-...Dave! Chris! I think I found something!" He said, kneeling on the floor and staring down at the potion.

Chris was busy glancing at books, refusing to touch any of them, when he heard Jude shouting, “D-… Dave![/b]”
Dave? As in, David? David Holland? Had he just called him Dave? Wait… focus.
“Chris! I think I found something!”
Well Chris was listening now. He moved over to Jude as quickly as humanly possible, without a broom that is. He still felt awkward, his hands all bandaged up. But it was a sloppy job to be sure, he would ask Casey to fix it when he went to bed. He didn’t trust himself to a hospital. Even though he liked Katharine. He… didn’t seek help from hospitals. Besides, Casey had random talents hidden under that hat of his. He had confided in Chris that he wished to become a spy, and apparently spies needed on sight medical training… or that was how Casey had said it at least.
He saw Jude, looking down at a book. Chris couldn’t see the title, but from the look on Jude’s face, he trusted it to be… of certain importance.
“What have you found, Jude?” He asked, his voice let on only half of how interest he was. Anything that could help Clover, absolutely anything, was a miracle.

His fingers trailed along the edges of the books. It hadn't occured to him to not do this, even if a book had just attacked him. The books apparently knew how idiotic he was being and decided to remind him where his place was among the shelves.
David jerked his hand back, clutching it to his chest as he felt the blood rise to the point of contact. There was a slight hole in the tips of two of his fingers from where the spine of the book had sprouted spines. The Ravenclaw pulled his wand from his side pocket and aimed it at the book, freezing it and the books around him so he wouldn't have to deal with things flying at him while he mended his fingers.
''D-...Dave! Chris! I think I found something!"
David looked up from where the holes in his fingers were closing up. Someone had called him Dave and from the excited voice, he could guess who. David rounded the corner, carefully measuring his steps so it would take him half as long to complete the task.
"Don't call me Dave." Then he realized that Jude had a book open on the ground, Chris leaning over to look. "What is it?" he asked, siddling closer to lean over Jude's shoulder.
Lumos, he thought, sheding light on the subject. He held his wand just past Jude's head so the two boys standing could read without a shadow.
"Drought of Miracles: Cures anything from acne to zeliphinaphiana," David read outloud, though he needn't. Chris and Jude were perfectly capable of reading for themselves... hopefully. "This could work. Turn the page, Jude, let's have a look at the ingrediants."

Jude nodded, listening to David and he turned the page. He looked down with the help of the light at the ingredients. Some of these ingredients were common but a lot of these were very rare. All of Jude's hapiness and hope of this potion were completely shot down.
He stared down at the pages, "Artemis leaves, where can we get those? I've never even heard of them!" He said, staring down at them. There were a lot of ingredients and a lot of detaile dinstructions on what to do.
Even the speed of stirring the potion was taken into consideration and this made him very nervous. He was good in potions class but he didn't know if he could even master on something like this.
He swallowed nervously as his eyes raced across the pages and he wondered if any luck would reach the three of them soon...he hoped.

David came over to help, “Don’t call me Dave.” Chris nearly laughed. But his heart wasn’t in it. Before this summer he might have laughed. Before the doctors declared his sister had two years to live, if that. Before his sister was laying half dead in the hospital wing. So, basically, he didn’t laugh. But he thought of it.
Then there were the ingredients. Oh, joy. They just kept… getting harder. Chris was into medicine. Why? Her name was Clover. She wasn’t all that tall, and she was all that sick. He read as many books about health as he could. He studied. He studied hours on end sometimes. But these. He’d found a lot of these under, “Nearly impossible to find.” But one or two he’d never heard of. HE would have to research more. Each night. Hours each night.
“Artemis leaves, where can we find those? I’ve never even heard of them!”
“I’ve heard of them. I’m not sure where to find them. Maybe I can find it again. It’s in a book I own.” Chris said quietly. Allowing Jude to keep reading. He noticed the detail it went into. “Maybe… we could ask Professor Dickens for some help with this. If we can acquire… those.” He sighed.

David was silent, reading over Jude's shoulder as the other two conversed. He barely heard what they said, only that they were discussing some ingrediant that Chris had heard of and Jude had not.
“--ask Professor Dickens for some help with this. If we can acquire… those.”
David looked up from the list to see Chris still reading the text. David had two choices at this point: 1.) Tell Chris he was an idiot for involving a professor or 2.) Suggest something better that they could agree on. Since David was not one for causing the insult, he opted for the latter.
"I am not sure that the Professor would help us. I am--not to brag, honest. I am good at potions and could handle the actual making of the potion if you two can gather the ingrediants from the store closet in the dungeons." David left out the part about not wanting to jeopardize his position as Head Boy by stealing things from the Potions Master. As long as he wasn't actually stealing, and it was for a good cause, he wasn't liable... Right?
The Ravenclaw stepped back and leaned against the waist high counter in front of the shelves.
"Professor Dickens ought to have the ingrediants in that closet. If he didn't get this stuff, you know Dyson did. She knew everything about potions and wasn't about to neglect one ingrediant regardless of how rare it might be." He smiled in spite of the situation, looking at the boys carefully. They seemed to be pretty comfortable around eachother now, thought David would bet that as soon as they got Clover out of her coma, they would be at eachother's throats again. Chris never did like Jude hanging around Clover like he did. At least, thats what David's common sense told him.

Jude nodded, as he listened to David while reading the page. He didn't care even at this point if David was bragging, just as long as they had someone who could help them help Clover. Jude grabbed a piece of paper from his pocket and with his wand was writing the ingredients quickly on the paper.
"Professor Dickens ought to have the ingrediants in that closet. If he didn't get this stuff, you know Dyson did. She knew everything about potions and wasn't about to neglect one ingrediant regardless of how rare it might be." Jude nodded, "Can we go get these ingredients right now. Won't it be perfect to get it right now? It's already night and everyone is already asleep?" He said anxiously.

Chris wasn’t sure why David didn’t think Dickens would help. What was he going to say “Nah, I don’t think I should help save Clover from dying. You have detention for even asking.” What kind of a sick teacher was that? Chris didn’t know why it was that the guys distrusted everyone. Sure, he wouldn’t have asked for help until he needed it, but they made it seem like this was for entertainment value. It was to save a life! He’d have thought the teachers would want to help.
"Professor Dickens ought to have the ingredients in that closet. If he didn't get this stuff, you know Dyson did. She knew everything about potions and wasn't about to neglect one ingredient regardless of how rare it might be."
That was true. Dyson was like that. Chris would either be a nurse or a potions professor if he grew up to teach at Hogwarts. So he excelled in both fields. David was good, but so was Chris. He didn’t mention this. If David thought himself a professional, he probably was.
"Can we go get these ingredients right now. Won't it be perfect to get it right now? It's already night and everyone is already asleep?” Jude asked anxiously. He sounded like he was itching to go. Chris sighed.
“If we need to do it tonight, I’m ready.” Chris said. He was getting a bit frustrated with David. One, because he didn’t plan to help steal the ingredients, two because he gave no reason why, three because he claimed that Dickens wouldn’t help save Clover’s life. He never really enjoyed Jude’s company, but he was getting to a point where they worked fairly well together. At least now. When Clover got better, and it was starting to seem like she might soon, they would probably distance themselves again.

"Can we go get these ingredients right now. Won't it be perfect to get it right now? It's already night and everyone is already asleep?”
“If we need to do it tonight, I’m ready.”David was watching the two. They were so eager to help their love and sister. David was just the odd man out. Unless these two knew about the kiss he had given Clover. It had not been at all a wise decision and yet he had done it. It was the first stupid mistake he had made this year. He had not told Grace yet of this disaster though he felt a sudden need to confess to her. His eyes fell and he looked at the floor but he recovered his tall stance seconds later realzing the two were probably waiting for his okay. "Yeah. Yes. As soon as possible. If you two want to collect what we need, I will collect my instruments and meet you..." He thought for a minute. Somewhere we won't be disturbed but clean enough to keep the potion sanitary... Moaning Myrtle's bathroom? I don't want to listen to her nagging... Dungeons? It's so damp... Room of Requirement? "Meet me in the Room of Requirement." He nodded as if to confirm this. David bent over to look at the book a last time, concentrating on remembering what needed to be prepared for them when they arrived with the supplies. He sighed, straightened, and walked out of the library, lighting a lanturn for them on his way since neither of them had their wands lit. [[One of you two start on in the Room of Requirement.]]
