Ellendie stood there listening to his question. It was a very good one, one that she had to think about. They hadn't gone on a date or made it officual or anything. So what were they? They did like eachother more then friends right? She slid her hands down from around his neck and then wove her fingers in between his own and shrugged. "Weel we are both friends, and we both 'ave the same feelings, no?"
She sighed and looked at him for a minute "So we are friends who are slowly becoming more. I zink." her voice was soft and gentle, like a birds.
She looked at him and prayed that she hadn't said anything that would offend him, or make him worry they weren't more. She just knew as much as he did. At some point she knew she would have to figure it out what were they. And she hoped that at some point they could be boyfriend girlfriend, but now was too early to tell.
She smiled up at him and swayed her arms slowly "Ees zat a good answer?"

Ike smiled down at her, lightly squeezing her hands with his.
"That's a great answer."
Then, the grin left his face, a serious expression taking its place. Ever since the incident on the dance floor, there had been something that Ike had wanted to do. Something he wanted to do right, because it had to be just perfect.
He watched her watch him for a moment or so, just soaking everything in. Ellendie really was beautiful. Her eyes were sparkling in the very dim light that was being given off by the setting sun.
Still holding onto her hands, Ike leaned down very slowly and pressed his lips against hers in a very gentle kiss.

Ellendie smiled at his responce. It was perfect, she was glad to know she had done nothing wrong. She swayed to the music and looked into his eyes as he stared at her. She could tell he was just looking at her to look at her, she felt he was happy with her. She smiled and her cheeks blushed, making her glance away. She turned her head back slightly and felt his lips press against hers gently. She closed her eyes and kissed him back, gently squeazing his hands.
The kiss was simple, but it was all she needed. She smiled up at him, the happiest she has been since her brother died. After him, there was just nothing to spark up real happiness. What she had expressed, a happy everyday bubbly person, was a somewhat lie. She used it to cover up her sorrow, she just didn't want any quests on why she was so sad. But here she was truly happy and most likely, will stay that way with Ike.
She leaned in close to him "I like zis." she whispered pulling him closer to her. She loved the warmth he gave her, and the comfort.

"Mmmhmmm," Ike mumbled against her lips. His eyes were half-closed and would have been wholly unfocused even if they were open.
She was so good. She smelled good, tasted good, felt good. Ike didn't want this end. He was caught in the moment, caught up in Ellendie. This was so perfect, it was as perfect as perfect could--
Wait. Wait just a minute here.
This was perfect. It was... too perfect.
Barinholtz's posture straightened somewhat and he broke the contact his lips had with hers.
"This is perfect," he informed her blandly.
The perfect-ness of the situation probably shouldn't have been dwelled on, but it left Ike to wonder whether or not something was going to ruin it. And then he began to think of all the things that could go wrong...

Ellendie smiled and then looked at him as he straightened a bit which made him seem a bit far away. Her smiled faided as he seemed to be thinking of something serious. Did I kiss him wrong? She cocked her head slightly "What's wrong?"
Then she thought of what he had said, it was perfect. Everything, even though there was a small fight in the begining, but it was perfect. Maybe he didn't like perfect? She shook her head "Never mind." She didn't feel like having an explanation of bad things right now, all she wanted was to be with him.
Her grey green eyes turned over to the dance floor, the room was empty with a huge mess that house elves were cleaning up. Everyone had gone to their houses and up to bed most likely. She looked at the clock, it was really late for her and she then looked at Ike. She smiled and kissed him softly and then pulled away "We should end zis before someting terreeble 'appens." she smiled and then kissed him again "Good night... eet was perfect." She then turned and started to go.

"Wait!" Ike stepped forward quickly as she turned to leave, then stopped himself.
Don't be so jumpy, you'll scare her away.
But Ike figured it might be hard to scare her away now. They would be friends no matter what and nothing could change that... even if all else failed.
"Ellendie, I really am sorry about the misunderstanding tonight," he told her sincerely. "Is there any way I can make it up to you? Could I treat you to dinner in Hogsmeade one night this week?" Ike raised his eyebrows questioningly as he grinned at her.

Ellendie was about to go then she heard Ike call for her to wait. She smiled and then turned to him and smiled. She listened to his question and nodded "Sure, deenner sounds nice."
She went to go then stopped and turned to him again "Like a date?" She came in close to him and looked in his eyes. She wasn't too sure if it was a date or just a friend thing, so she guessed it was ok to ask him.
What if he doesn't want it to be a date? Just a hang out? Then it was no big deal, it was a hang out. At least I get to be with him.

Ike looked down at her intently, considering his answer. Was it a date? Well, he liked her and she liked him, so he supposed that it was. Did she not want it to be a date? Was she embarrassed to be seen with him?
Ellendie didn't look embarrassed, more like she was simply curious.
Should Ike lie to her anyway and say that it wasn't a date when it was? Would that make her mad? Would it make her think he didn't like her?
Argh! So many questions! He was reading too much into this.
Tell her the truth, Ike, and do it in the smoothest way possible.
"It's not just like a date, Elle, I'd say it is a date."

Ellendie's grin grew wide as she heard it was a date. She nodded and kissed Ike's cheek "See you zen." She turned around and left.
(( good lord my muse is dead... ))
