“No, that’s not what I’m thinking at all. I’m thinking how does a giant booger grows eyes and a mouth.” She joked, chuckling a bit. “On my mind, I’m just wondering why you’re being so nice to me.” She laughed. She looked at him again, “I may have been staring at you but just remember, you were staring back at me...And you must have been thinking ‘Oh my, what a lovely maiden. She’s the reincarnate of Aprhodite!’ “ She laughed.
“Oh I know, that wasn’t funny.” She smirked and sat back once more, shutting her eyes a second time and staying there just like that, tapping her foot lightly against the cold stone steps. She knew to stop staring now. She wondered how awkward that moment was.

“No, that’s not what I’m thinking at all. I’m thinking how does a giant booger grows eyes and a mouth.” Clutching his chest, Lucas made a big show of being wounded. "Oh, she strikes me with her arrow of insult!" He lamented teasingly, pretending to fall over. "Ah think Ah see the light!"
“On my mind, I’m just wondering why you’re being so nice to me.” Lucas shrugged. "Ah feel a connection with ya. And ya should be nice to people every chance ya get because some day they could be gone."
"I may have been staring at you but just remember, you were staring back at me...And you must have been thinking ‘Oh my, what a lovely maiden. She’s the reincarnate of Aprhodite!’ “ She laughed. Lucas narrowed his eyes and cocked his head suspiciously. "Not only is she bright, she's also a mind reader... the plot! It thickens!" He chuckled, sitting up on his elbows to look at her.
“Oh I know, that wasn’t funny.” Smiling genuinely, Lucas half-lidded his eyes. "It was funny," he assured her gently.

She giggled at his dramatic scene and watched him lay back down. With a sigh, she too laid down beside him, shutting her eyes silently. She leaned back and then turned a bit to face him.
She then sat up again and suddenly hugged him with a playful growl, "You're too sweet!" She said, hugging him tightly. She was really warm against him and she kept her eyes shut, not really wanting to see his reaction to her hug. She liked to hug people but a lot of people got freaked out and shoved her away.

Clover laid back, giggling quietly. Lucas remained on his elbows, grinning lopsidedly and chuckling himself. He wished he could have been a passer-by, just to see what the scene looked like. Just two friends sitting there and laughing. The thought filled him with happiness. With a contented sigh, he paused his light laughter and let his head hang back with a happy hum. Clover was so different from Jessie yet so similar. Obviously, one was more open than the other, but Lucas felt that they both had secrets he hadn't heard yet. Clover seemed more open to talk about some of her past predicaments, but he still felt he was only seeing a corner of the canvas. In time, he assured himself gently. You can't force a turtle out of her shell. Wait.
With a small growl Clover suddenly hugged him tightly. "You're too sweet!" Lucas smiled serenely, hugging her back. "Ya're sweet too, Clover," he said gently, giving her a tight squeeze. It felt so good to get a good hug. Lucas realized he actually hadn't gotten a true, genuine hug since he left for Hogwarts some months before. His whole family had hugged him for it was natural that they all came to the train to see him off to school. Aside from that, he couldn't really remember receiving any affection from anybody since then.
Clover's gesture of kindness filled him with such emotion suddenly than he swallowed thickly and clung to her tightly. He suddenly felt bad for anything he had ever done to upset anybody, family or friend. He felt bad about his past and the things he had done with it, and he felt even worse when he realized he would have to tell Clover about it. Just as suddenly as the bad feelings had come, they passed leaving Lucas with a soft feeling inside of him. It was like his heart had opened and was radiating affection. Dizzy with the gentle-high, he shook his head and exclaimed, "Ya give damn good hugs."

She enjoyed the small tight squeezes he kept giving her and these made her hug him a bit more. She couldn’t help but feel so many different things while hugging him. She felt safe, warm, happy, trusted and most important of all, loved. She smiled and knelt up a bit to hug him better. She didn’t want to let go of him but it would be awkward to keep hugging him. She felt an automatic attraction towards him though.
It was something in the way he moved, smiled, presented himself, and just looked at her that made her feel attracted to him. She blushed a bit as they hugged and slowly pulled back from the hug. She sat close beside him, her legs crossed.
He was a lot more open then Jude, that was for sure. And Jude was always really shy and shakey when hugging her just because he was so nervous of screwing up. But Lucas, he was just so confident and moving in his actions. She just sat there looking up at him. She was a bit shorter than him so when she sat directly beside him, there was a bit of a height difference.
"Ya give damn good hugs.” She giggled and blushed a bit more. “Cutey.” She said and laughed, placing her forehead a bit against his shoulder.

Clover knelt and hugged him tighter, making Lucas feel very good. This was one of the best hugs he had received in possibly, well, ever. He hugged Clover back shamelessly, smiling over her shoulder. Finally, she pulled back, blushing slightly, and he grinned. She looked up at him in such a way that he felt his heart expand towards her even more.
Was this really the very same girl who had been sitting huddled near the stair railing twenty minutes ago, looking ever so shy and fragile?
Smiling to himself, Lucas reclined on his elbows once again, adopting a relaxed position. "Cutey." It was his turn to blush, and he did, looking down at his fingernails. "Aw, shucks," he managed, twiddling his thumbs.

She sat there beside him silently with a smile on her face. She was looking out the window again, just watching all of her surroundings. Today was a really good morning. She had made a new friend and now got an amazing hug.
The door opened a bit and a small crack of wind moved in the steps. She shivered a bit and looked to the door, glaring mentally at the space which allowed wind to come in.

Lucas enjoyed the peacefulness of the scene. The silence that surrounded them was companionable and not awkward, letting Lucas know how much he liked Clover at the moment. Tilting his head back, he looked at the ornately decorated ceiling, blinking his eyes lazily. He felt very good, like he was on cloud nine. His fingers itched to hold the mahogany wood of his guitar, but he ignored the urge feeling as though it might ruin the bond.
A sudden draft selfishly licked the tendrils of ecstasy away that were buzzing at Lucas's eyelids. He opened his eyes, catching Clover shiver from the cool air and glare at the door pointedly. Standing up, he strode over to the open door. "Oi, door," he said menacingly, adopting a fighting stride that involved him swinging his hips slightly. "Ya causin' a ruckus. Ah'm gonna have to destroy ya." He closed it with one finger before leaning against it to look at Clover in accomplishment. "Cleaned its clock, Ah did. Won't be comin' around these parts anymore. No sir."

She shivered a bit as she watched him getting up to get to the door. "Ya causin' a ruckus. Ah'm gonna have to destroy ya. She laughed and watched him as he went in his attack stance and shut the door. "Cleaned its clock, Ah did. Won't be comin' around these parts anymore. No sir."
"Yay, my hero!" She laughed, clapping her hands together. "You saved me from the terrible wind, you must receive some sort of reward!" She joked and looked around, what could she give him out of gratitude?

Clover laughed and clapped her hands. "Yay, my hero!" Grinning, Lucas adopted a brave look and flexed an arm menacingly. "Heck yeah, Ah'm ya hero," he winked. Still smiling, he strode over to her and sat down in his previous place.
"You saved me from the terrible wind, you must receive some sort of reward!"
Laughing, Lucas shook his hand like a good samaritan. "Nay, nay lass. The only reward Ah get is doing my job and making sure ya're safe from wretched beings." He paused. "Like the wind."
Adopting a sly look, he tapped an index finger to his temple. "However a little prize wouldn't be too bad," he said jokingly.

She laughed as he acted the good Samaritan, it was fun to watch this. Actually, it was fun to just watch him do anything, he was just so lively and energetic and that made her want to be energetic as well.
. "Nay, nay lass. The only reward Ah get is doing my job and making sure ya're safe from wretched beings. Like the wind.” She giggled as he sat down beside her and she leaned her head on his shoulder a bit, watching out the window the sun rising a bit more. "However a little prize wouldn't be too bad," he said jokingly. “Oh really?” She laughed.
“Hm...” She said, sitting up properly and placing her finger on her temple as well, making a thinking pose. “Oh brave knight, thank you for saving me!” She laughed and gave him a small quick kiss on his cheek.

“Oh really?” Clover questioned coyly. Lucas nodded, putting an arm over his forehead. "Tragic, 'tis. The life of a brave soul on the path of righteousness." He sighed dramatically leaning his head against her own resting on his shoulder.
“Hm...” She hummed, adopting a thinking pose. “Oh brave knight, thank you for saving me!” She planted a light kiss on his cheek.
Lucas jumped up and flexed his arms dramatically. "M'lady, you're magical! Ah feel the very energy back in these old bones!" Laughing, he sat back down next to her. He felt really good. Maybe too good. Life wasn't supposed to be this happy was it? Of course it was. Smiling, a light blush still on his cheeks from his excertions and from Clover's touch of affection, he tilted his head at her. "How could anyone not want to be ya friend," he said genuinely.

She laughed as he jumped up and flexed his arms. . "M'lady, you're magical! Ah feel the very energy back in these old bones!" “You act as though you are one hundred years old!” She listened to him further though and noticed a small blush on his cheek.
"How could anyone not want to be ya friend," That comment stabbed her a bit. Not in a bad way, it just made her think. “I-...I don’t really know. I guess I’m just too different?” She said in a pondering tone. She wasn’t really too sure.
“It’s just human nature that some people don’t want to accept those who are different.” She sighed, “And unfortunately, I’m one of those different.” She whispered. She kept her head on his shoulder and she shut her eyes peacefully, truly happy with him.

Clover laughed. “You act as though you are one hundred years old!” Lucas shrugged. His mother often told him he was far too wise for his own good. "In fact," she said mostly. "Ah'm worried that ya don't know how to be a regular teen." She said it jokingly, but he could tell she really was worried. But she had nothing to fear. He enjoyed every minute of his life.
At his previous comment, Clover seemed to flinch almost. Lucas instantly regretted his words, hoping he hadn't upset her. “I-...I don’t really know. I guess I’m just too different?” Lucas snorted. "There's no such thing as too different," he said gently. "And besides, different's better. The world would be bloody borin' if we were all the same."
“It’s just human nature that some people don’t want to accept those who are different." She sighed, resting her head on his shoulder once more. "And unfortunately, I’m one of those different.” Lucas wrapped his arm around her shoulders to give her a squeeze and leaned his head against hers. "If it's any consolation, Ah like different," he offered, smiling softly.

"There's no such thing as too different," he said gently. "And besides, different's better. The world would be bloody borin' if we were all the same." She smiled, feeling genuinely better when he console her. He had a gift of easily making her feel better.
Lucas wrapped his arm around her shoulders to give her a squeeze and leaned his head against hers. "If it's any consolation, Ah like different," he offered, smiling softly. She blushed a bit and kept close to him, not moving away from him one bit.
She kept her eyes shut and she looked over at him. He was just so sweet. She titled her head a bit, looking at himand not saying anything. Her eyes locked with his and she blushed still.
