Alary sighed, heaving her large book satchel onto the table. The farther table from any activity whatsoever. Not that there was much activity, but that wasn't the point. Alary didn't do people. She sighed again, staring at the stool for the table. She knew she was short, but seriously, couldn't they have constructed smaller tables and stools? A darkly muttered swear under her breath and she hauled her tiny frame onto the stool, circling and situating herself as best she she could. Her feet dangled several inches from the ground, and she snagged her wand from her robes, waving it quickly and quietly to scoot the stool forward. She probably wasn't supposed to know that spell, she probably wasn't supposed to know a lot of what she did, it never mattered to her. Finally situated, she flipped open her satchel and stared at the books inside. She had homework for Arithmacy and Charms to do, and some personal reading she wished to get done. As there was a chocolate frog war in the Slytherin common room at the moment, she had elected to move to the library.
She hummed to herself some ancient tune she barely remembered as she stared at her satchel. She hated Arithmacy with a passion, she was quite fine at it, but she hated it. Charms was her second favorite course, and she should really save the best for last. She pursed her lips and stopped humming to sigh briefly. Screw it, she pulled out the largest book in her satchel. It was personal reading, somewhat bland but full of interesting information. The History of Hogwarts was the name of the book, she was halfway through it, and frankly, she'd learned a lot of the secret passages and nooks and crannies of the school from it. All of her super interesting books were hidden in her private reading nook on the fourth floor. It was tucked behind a hole she managed to reach in her animagus form, another spell she wasn't supposed to know yet. She had spirited several books from the restricted section there, not quite against the rules. Well, she was allowed access to them, but removing them was a no-no. She didn't care for rules like that. She flipped the book open to her marker and picked up where she left off, purposely ignoring the homework she had gone there to complete.
