((It's alright. Actually, I kind of liked being last in the mix. ^_^; Eh, no bother, though.))
There was chaos spinning about her. Just moments ago, an Inferi was slowly lurching toward her in a big hole in the ground. Now, the others were looking at her like she was on some sort of hallucinatory drug. Or insane. Or both.
Brigitta, no it couldn't be. That was dumb. Brigitta wouldn't be dead. Unless...
Cypress stopped, beginning to cope with all she was hearing. It wasn't an Inferi? Then...
Slowly uncurling, she got to a cautious sitting position. She looked around, not seeing anyone else at least even worried. More over sick.
"It's Brigitta. She's dead."
"So what does this mean? Are we in the future? R.I.P. Brigitta Corwin. Headmistress 2042-2047. Killed in action in service to the school. Died December 31, 2047. She dies at the end of this year."
At that point, if Cypress weren't convinced that it was a hoax, she would have paled considerably. Thinking it over a bit more, she did. It took a while to fight the urge to sit back down and close her eyes. She was thoroughly frightened by what she thought she saw. How didn't anyone else? The only thing really wrong with her was a bit of paranoia, but, that didn't cause hallucinations. Nerves? No. She was just a bit irritated.
"Beau..." she said, picking up a small rock and bouncing it off one of the headstones with a sharp clack, "You said... You said we're in the future. Maybe.... Someone want to dig mine up and tell me what they see? I dunno why I thought her body was animated. I... have a phobia of Inferi. Well, forget me."
She tried to stand up, but was still a bit shaky from being startled by whatever it was she saw. Looking around, she noticed the others around Brigitta's corpse, which had been levitated out of her casket. She looked down at it, not knowing really what to do besides check it, but she didn't want to.
Taking a deep breath, she looked at the group, "Well, we've found mine. It's the one over there, with the busted headstone. Someone want to take a look in there? If - no, let's just hope it isn't. Someone should also check Brigitta's corpse. Check for a pulse, anything. You never know... As crazy as it could seem, if this is the future, she also could've been buried alive in a stasis. Maybe it's not even her. Who knows. Someone check."
Anything to say that either it wasn't Brigitta or that she was indeed living.
"I'm going to look to see if I can't find anything about what I could've sworn I saw. I saw something, so I know I'm not insane. Let's just hope that it's nothing too bad," she grumbled. Walking a few feet away, she began inspecting other gravestones, and the signs that life had once been there. Another question arose.
"Or better," she added a bit late, talking over her shoulder, "Why EVERYTHING here is dead."
