Squaw! Squaw! Squaw...Dane Tigerthon's eyes shot open at the calling of a crow. He sat up, wincing as his head pounded, drumming the back of his eyes. He grunted, clutching his head for a second. As the throbbing dulled, Dane let his arms hang down. He rubbed his head, sighing. "Man, I feel like I have the world's worst hangover," he said aloud to nobody in particular. The crow cawed at him for being noisy. Dane cast it a stink eye before standing up to survey his surroundings. It was dark and eerie, the trees twisting in gnarled, arthritic like ways that added a sense of dread. It was dark, too dark to tell what time of day it was. And me without a watch...There was a low hanging mist that wafted between Dane's mud splattered sneaker. The ground was spongy and soft, and it smelled musty because of the wet leaves on the ground. It was vacant save for Dane and his annoyingly loud friend. The crow in question cawed once more, turning its head regarding the lone Hufflepuff. Dane nodded his head, suddenly. The trees, the mist, the crow... it all made sense now. "I'm in a forest," he stated to the crow. The bird cawed once more, hopping to the left on its branch. Dane frowned at it, turning away. He decided to do a little retracing to fill in some of the blanks. He had gone into some sort of dimension back at school. He had felt tingly. He had woken up here, in this forest. This eerily familiar forest...Dane sighed, rubbing his pounding head again. He felt frustrated suddenly, and kicked a tree. A hunk of mass fell to the ground with a wet thud. Dane kicked it away, feeling angrier. He stopped, suddenly, looking at the bare spot on the tree he had kicked where the moss had been. D+D 2046 He remembered carving that in the forest with Dani one night in the Forbidden Forest... That's where he was! The Forbidden Forest. Dane looked around as if a new light had clicked on. In a way it had. Well, at least it was someplace familiar. Except... it wasn't. Yes, the Forbidden Forest had always been scary, dark, and, well, forbidding but it seemed magnified now. We can replant it... Make it bigger, badder... We have the fertilize like. A sweep of fear crossed Dane, remembering his bad run in with the forest a while ago. Would that happen again? Would he just suddenly reappear from behind a tree, ask Dane how the evening was like he had done a month or so ago? The crow hopped on its branch of choice, turning its beady eyes to the boy and squawking loudly. Dane turned his head to regard the bird fearfully. It felt like it was mocking him. Silly boy, all alone. Went down a hole on his own. The boy fell, The Crow could tell, And now he can't find his way back from hell! The hole was black! The boy went smack! Will he ever find his way back? Dane growled at the crow, grabbing a handful of moist dirt and leaves and heaved it at the bird. It cawed disapprovingly, flapping its wings and taking off. Good riddance...Dane sat down, putting his hands behind his back, knees drawn up. He had no idea if he was even near Hogwarts, or if this was even the real Forbidden Forest. He felt foolish for sending the crow away, the only other living thing (so it appeared) that he had for company at the time. He wished desperately Dani or Malcom and Ike, anybody, was here with him. This must be how it feels to be really alone...His thoughts seemed to echo in the silent forest.

Ike Barringer had had no idea that a life-size replica of his belly-button could possibly be as cool as the one he had jumped into in the West Wing. His little trip through time and space had reminded him of being at a Disney Theme park on one of those tea cup rides. They looked innocent enough, but when it got right down to it, those things were more deadly than a flaming chicken on a stick with the HIV virus. ((Remember, even the use of a condom can't protect against STDs, even in cases of beastiliaty.)) For a hole, the portal was very windy. It was also very colorful, like the Care Bears' magical homeland, Care-A-Lot.
In short, Ike said 'Dude!' about twenty awe-filled times, and now he was in a forest. Miraculously, he landed on his feet, but had ruined the smooth entrance by running into a waist-high bush that was adorned with very mean-looking thorns. When he had finished screaming about his potentially ruined 'package', he focused his eyes and looked around at the knarled trees and foreboding darkness and said, "Is this the Forest of Feelings...?"
Ike could only assume that it was. After, all, when he had fallen on that sharp bush, his twazzer had been stuck with thorns, which had hurt quite a lot. Hurt was a feeling. Barringer was suddenly very excited. He wanted to meet the colorful stuffed bears of joy and miracles.
He waited a few seconds, expecting one to jump out at him. It didn't.
Then, about fifity yards away on the ground, he saw something move. And it was orange. Ike's face lit up like a homeless boy who'd just been given a quarter.
"FRIEND BEAR!" he shouted gleefully, running through past all sorts of creepy plants and shadows and tackling whatever-it-was spiritedly from behind. "YOU'RE MY FAVORITE!"

Malcom winced and rubbed his head. It hurt quite alot but he could deal with it. His friends were missing and he was all alone. He whined and curled up in his best impression of a ball. His head fell down on his knees--there should have been jean there but he had worn them down in that particular spot so there were now holes in his pants. His eyes flicked around but he saw nothing he recognized. It was all dark and creepy and misty. He didn't like it.
The Slytherin, or maybe just boy if he didn't live long enough to go back to Hogwarts and resume his Slytherin-ery existance. He started slowly rocking back and forth, muttering a few uncoherent words and a few that sounded dangerously like "Stupid, Dane. Had to go and kill himself."
He was almost certain his friend was dead when a piercing yell broke his rocking.
"FRIEND BEAR!" It sounded remarkably like Ike but you couldn't be sure. He didn't trust the scary looking trees. He glared at the nearest one.
"I know your secret," he whispered in a demon-like voice to no tree in particular.
"YOU'RE MY FAVORITE!" Maybe it was Ike. There couldn't be any harm in looking. Malcom slowly straightened his legs out in front of him and rolled over so he was kneeling on them.
"Ikie?" he whispered, pulling himself up on a small branch. It suddenly broke and send him brashing back to the ground. The sound seemed to reverberate through the whole forest but Malcom couldn't hear it.
The boy lay on his back, right leg curled ungracefully under his left. His left arm was laying across his chest while his right was bent and tucked up in his arm pit. Malcom's eyes were closed and he was unaware of the slow trickle of blood moving out of his skull right above his right ear and over the surface of a slightly sharp rock.

Ellendie opened her eyes to see... air, and a lot of trees below her. She let out a scream as she got faster and moved towards a tree. All she thought of was... pain. Lots and lots of pain. She moved so fast she was soon soaring into the tree getting cut by branches on her way down. She landed hard on a branch and she winced as she clung to it. She looked at herself and saw scratches on her bare arms, and felt one on her cheek. And she just knew she was bound to get a nice big bruise on her ribs. Why did the portal have to toss her out so... high up? Was she too complainy as she was tossed and turned in the blue light? Possibly.
She bit her lip as she looked at the ground that was covered in bushes and dirt and only God knows what. She heard a grunt and a hoof pawing at the ground. Ellendie looked around and then spotted, a well, very unhealthy horse. It was skeletol, with red eyes. It just looked very. Mean, and hungry to mention the way it was looking at her.
Instantly Elle knew where she was, and knew what she was seeing. She was in the Forbidden Forest and staring eye to eye at a Thestral. She was able to see it because she had watched her brother die. And looking at the animal, all the memories seemed to flood back into her. The blood. The cries. The gun shot. Ellendie squirmed, and then fell from the tree.
She sat up and the animal raised his hoof and breathed deeply, ready to charge. "Oh no.." she whispered. She wasn't exactly covered in blood, so why was this one behaving oddly?
Ellendie scrambled to her feet and bolted into a run. she squealed loudly as it pushed at her back with his sharp teeth to slow her down. But she wouldn't. She took odd turns and twists and ran as fast as she could. But then she heard wings spreading and a louder grunt. She didn't have to turn around to know he was in the air trying to get her. Her heart was beating faster and all she was thinking was that she was going to die.
She had defeated death two times before this. Why was it always coming back? One time at the lake when she was ice skating and another from Muraki. Why again? What did she do to deserve to die?
In the middle of her thinking she was disturbed by a quick drop into a pit. She slid all the way down, on her shoes, and then fell flat on her face once she got to the end. She looked up to see the Thestral flying over, as if she didn't fall at all. Elle got up and sniffled. She was all alone. In a cold dark pit. Wearing blue jeans and a tank top. All she wanted was to get out and have a nice warm hoody to snuggle into. Perhaps Ike as well.
She sat in the mud and heard some noises.
"FRIEND BEAR! YOU'RE MY FAVORITE!"
Ellendie blinked and looked up, it sounded a lot like Ike. In fact, she believed it was Ike. But who the heck was friend bear? "Hey!" she yelled not really caring anymore except for the fact they could help her. "Ike! And person Ike is talking too. HELP ME!" she screamed as loud as she could so they could hear her voice.

"FRIEND BEAR!"
Dane raised his head. That sounded suspiciously like Ike.
He narrowed his eyes.
Perhaps a little too much like Ike...
Was the forest playing tricks on him? The last thing Dane wanted was to be caught in a trap and being prodded and poked by the local Natives that inhabited the place... But Ike was Ike in his eyes, whether really Natives or the lovable oaf himself.
Casting aside his suspicious thoughts, Dane sat up.
"Ike? Buddy?"
There was no response. Dane frowned heavily. Stupid forest was tricking him...
"YOU'RE MY FAVORITE!"
He was out here! Dane started to look around when suddenly something tackled him. Something big and hairy...
"AHHH, AHH MONSTER!!!" He yelled, flailing and struggling. "STAY BACK, STAY BACK! I KNOW KARATE! I'M-I'M A BLACK BELT!"
He turned around to sock the creature in the mouth, only to discover it was Ike.
"Oh, it's just you," he said playfully, never happier to see his friend. He suddenly hugged Ike in a display of affection.
"Don't leave me alone anymore, dude!"

Ike was reeling from the excitement of things. After all he had been through in his short life: his traumas, his triumphs, all the horrible, heart-wrenching sacrifices he had to make on a daily basis to be the best he could be.
And Ike was a genius to have found Friend Bear in the middle of the Forest of Feelings, just sitting right there on the ground like a big fungus of sunshine. Genius, or f**k**g lucky. Friend Bear, in his orange cotton-polyestor-blended state of being, was in God's top 27 'Greatest Gifts From Heaven', right after peanut butter and toenail clippers. This thing was bigger than the average stuffed animal, too; human-sized. That just left more of him love. Ike bet he could get a fair chunk of dough by selling him on EBay.
"AHHH, AHH MONSTER!!! STAY BACK, STAY BACK! I KNOW KARATE! I'M-I'M A BLACK BELT!"
Ike was pushed away from the hug by wildly flailing arms, but he managed to clutch a fistfull of Friend Bear's shirt in each hand. The silly thing obviously didn't remember that it was anti-violence, a team-mate to everyone. "I've waited for so long..." he whispered with sick glee.
Wait.
Since when did Care Bears wear shirts?
"Oh, it's just you. Don't leave me alone anymore, dude!"
Because he was still puzzled about the article of clothing, Ike did not appreciate the hug that Friend Bear gave him at that moment. He looked scrutinizingly into its face. A bell rang somewhere in the back of his mind. This was no Care Bear. Or was it? Ike had to be certain. He prodded its un-bear-like nose with an index finger and pryed open its left eye using both of his hands. They weren't beady, like any stuffed toy's eyes should be. And the hair? It definitely didn't belong.
"Dane?" Ike stared at his friend in confusion. "How'd you find the Forest of Feelings?"
Various snapping sounds followed by a thud emitted from a chunk of trees nearby. Ike fell ontop of Dane in surprise. Then someone screamed in the other direction.
"HEY! HEY, THERE'S NO HUNTING ALLOWED IN THIS FOREST!" Ike shouted from atop Dane, angry that such sacred ground had been ruined by the un-joyful.

Ellendie stood there her arms crossed and her head staring at the sky as she listened to the voices. As they talked more, she could tell they weren't listening to her in her time of need. But when did Ike ever listen to her in her time of need? When she was stabbed and nearly dead, he barely understood that she was dying. At some point afterwards she was wondering why she was ever dating him. But then he would end up kissing her and then she would be reminded. But as for now, once she gets up there (if she ever does) he better be doing a lot of kissing up. "Ike? Buddy?"After the friend bear fiasco, she heard that voice again. And she wasn't exactly sure who it was, at first. But then the conversation went on. "AHHH, AHH MONSTER!!! STAY BACK, STAY BACK! I KNOW KARATE! I'M-I'M A BLACK BELT!"She heard thunks and rolling around and that's when she realized who it was. Dane Tigerthon. The troublemaker that got everyone in this mess. At that thought Elle wanted to march up there herself and yell at him, tell him who was all out here for thim and making sure he was ok. And the thought of him pulling a stunt like this made her even madder. But she bit her lips listening again, and moving around in her pit. She had to wait till they at least had shutten up to call for help. "Oh, it's just you, don't leave me alone anymore, dude!""Dane? How'd you find the Forest of Feelings?"Ellendie froze and rolled her eyes, he had a lot of kissing up to do. Forest of Feelings... HAH! She started to pace more. They were clearly in a non taken care of, Forbidden Forest. Everything had grown over, it looked like it was forgotten and left alone, besides the things that were living in it. "HEY! HEY, THERE'S NO HUNTING ALLOWED IN THIS FOREST!"She stopped and blinked. Something was up there? Both of them were gonners if there was. She bit her lip and paced faster. She had to get out of here! For one, it was cold dark and dirty. So she was getting frozen as well as she was watching bugs crawl out of the dirt. She shivered slightly seeing an oversized spider. Her blue eyes scanned the pit and spotted a green thick vine. It looked like something in George of the Jungle, so she was guessing it was pretty sturdy. She walked over to it, advoiding all the bugs and pulled on it hard. It wasn't moving. So possibly it could hold her weight. She took a hold of it and then started up, her feet mashing into the mud and her eyes focusing on the sky. Bugs just weren't something she liked. Infact, she hated bugs. They were gross and got into everything. Plus they bite and they make you itchy. She figeted at the thought and the vine... snapped. She was half way up when she came blungering down, squealing all the way. And then thudded in the dirt. She sighed and layed for a second. How was she to get out if the idiots weren't hearing her? For a few more seconds she lied there and then felt something crawl on her. She lifted her head up and spotted that oversized spider. "AHHH!" she screamed, jumped up, and got it off of her, then danced around for a bit making sure everything was off her. Once she was good she shivered at the possibibilities that could have happened. As she was dancing, and jumping, and shivering, her eyes spotted a rock. It was a fairly good sized rock, big enough that any jock could throw a good length. But Elle was no jock. The best she could do was kick a soccer ball without falling on her back. So the witch pulled out her wand and casted a levatation spell on it, then casted a message for it to blurt out every five seconds as well as jump. She then raised it high up and thrusted her arm foreward towards the boys, hoping it either land in front, or hit someone. Hearing it land in the right distance, a thud, and then another thud as it sang: "ELLENDIE STUCK IN A PIT! ELLENDIE STUCK IN A PIT!" "Dane, how'd you find the Forest of Feelings?"
Forest of Feelings? This place was far from feelings... Super dark-the-tree-just-grabbed-my-ass feelings, maybe... Happy-skippy-bunnies-and-lollipops-and-berries-and-cream feelings, no.
"I'm a little lad who loves Berries and Cream," Dane stated to himself and Ike.
Sudden cracking of twigs and a loud thunk was heard from somewhere in a direction Dane would have knwon had he carried a compass. He screamed, girlishly, and clung to Ike.
"HEY! HEY, THERE'S NO HUNTING ALLOWED IN THIS FOREST!"
"Y-yeah!" Dane shouted after, still clinging to Ike. "Don't make me bust a cap in yo ass, you McFool-izzle!"
Word, yo.

"I'm a little lad who loves Berries and Cream."
Ike nodded thoughtfully at Dane. He too was of the opinion that berries and cream were good. "Hey, dude, have you tried that knew mixed berry yogurt with the whipped--"
THUNK!
SCREAM!
CLING!
"Y-yeah! Don't make me bust a cap in yo ass, you McFool-izzle!"
Ike's excitement about paying a visit to the Forest of Feelings diminished significantly as Dane clung to him like a frightened child. Pft, what a baby. He was 17-years-old and he certianly wasn't bothering to show it. Ike usually liked it when people clung to him in fear; it made him feel strong and powerful. But he would only tolerate certain people touching the God-like muscles that he'd been graced with (ie- Grace, Elle... any girls, really), and that rule did not extend to Dane.
"Dude, stop being gay!" Ike said, peeved, as he tried to pry his friend's hands off of him.
"ELLENDIE STUCK IN A PIT! ELLENDIE STUCK IN A PIT!"
Ike stopped and turned to the voice. It sounded French. It sounded like Elle. And, though one could never be sure, it sounded as though she might possibly be stuck in a pit. Not wanting to jump to any mis-led conclusions, Ike implemented a fool-proof plan to make sure the vague evidence given to him was not presenting him with the totally wrong idea.
"HEY, ELLE, ARE YOU STUCK IN A PIT?!" he shouted. He turned to Dane and whispered, "Dude, dude, do you know what's going on?"

Malcom's curious dreams of a landscape of boobs and flying antelope were beginning to fade out to be replaced by nothing of interest to the Slytherin. The twisted trees had already made their impression on him and he was in no state to argue their scariness. He blinked his eyes and looked as the blurry grey sky formed clouds.
His head was pounding and it hurt like hell. When he tried to sit up, it throbbed even harder and he inhaled sharply. That hurt to so he decided to stick with small, short breaths. Gray had to move, get his head off the rock. He bit his lower lip in an effort to stifle whatever sound he might make. It didn't work and a let out a loud yell when he felt a sharp bit of the rock pull from his skin. The blood started again and he tore at his black shirt to get a wad big enough to press against his head and slow the blood. He pulled himself up to lean against a tree.
"HEY, ELLE, ARE YOU STUCK IN A PIT?!" Ike was definatly somewhere. He moaned at the loud voice echoing through his head.
"Don't yell!" he screamed back, only to close his eyes in pain again as his own voice shot through his head louder than his friend's had.

The responce to her rock singing was nothing like she wanted. It was, well, a lot different. For one she wanted Ike to actually catch on and do something. But she knew very well that he rarely ever caught on or helped. He only... did what he thought was going on, which was always completely wrong. Well for Elle it was always completely wrong.
The rock had landed and it sang like she charmed it to do, but Dane, surprisingly, didn't pay any attention to it. And to Elle this her only hope at getting out was Dane. Because at the moment she had a complete lack of trust for Ike. Isn't there suppose to be trust in a relationship? Yes, but Ike has done a lot of things that Elle isn't quite sure she wants to trust him. She trusts him with not cheating and slightly loving her and stuff, but just not her life, or to be dependable. He certainly let her down some, like her almost dying in his arms, but she still loved him and was patient with him.
But to the fact that she was stuck in a pit and Dane didn't hear she was getting worried.
"HEY, ELLE, ARE YOU STUCK IN A PIT?!"
Ellendie blinked and looked up, he understood the message slightly. "IKE! OVER HERE!" Her voice thundered through the air, and all she could do was pray he had heard. She shook her head, she could do more then pray. The Ravenclaw girl pulled out her wand and muttered a few words then sparks flew up in the air. "COME TO THE SPARKS!"
Pleeeeaaaassseeeee come to the sparks...

This is ridiculous...
"HEY, ELLE, ARE YOU STUCK IN A PIT?! Dude, dude, do you know what's going on?"
Dane glowered.
"I know as much as you do, ass-face."
Dane felt it was his duty to insult Ike on every possible oppurtunity.
Standing up, he began searching for any signs of the shouting Elle. He had completely by-passed the rock, thinking he must have hit his head or something. But if it had said Elle was stuck in a pit, Elle was probably stuck in a pit.
"Elle!? Where are you!?"
"IKE! OVER HERE! COME TO THE SPARKS!"
Dane looked around, making a complete circle. He saw no sparks. Elle must be going batty...
"I don't see-"
"Don't yell!"
Dane frowned, looking offended.
"I wasn't- Malcom?" He was confused now. "Guys, what the hell is going on here..."
Dane turned to question Ike, when his face lit up happily. The sparks had been seen, and targeted. Dane enjoyed sparkly things. When he was younger, he'd have to stay in his room for Fourth of July and New Years because he couldn't be trusted with the sparklers or firecrackers. For six years he had admired from a distance...
He started walking toward the sparks, not caring if Ike followed or not. It was just the sparks now that matters. Only the sparks...

"Don't yell!"
Ike wanted to yell at Malcom for telling him not to do just that. The only problem was that he had no idea where Malcom was, so he just picked a deformed weed sticking out of the ground nearby and yelled at it instead. "SHUT IT, MALCOM, WE HAVE TO FIND ELLE!" The weed, whose name was not Malcom and who had already been particularly silent in the first place, did not respond. Ike glared at it.
"I know as much as you do, ass-face."
Redirecting his glare to Dane, Ike fought to come up with a retort. "Yeah? Well I'm smarter AND hotter... FACE-ASS!"
"IKE! OVER HERE! COME TO THE SPARKS!"
Ike, like Dane, came to the eventual conclusion that if Elle said she was in a pit, she was probably in a pit. He, however, had much more luck finding said pit than Dane did. This might have been because his elephant-sized ego wanted to get to the damsel in distress before Dane, or maybe it was because it was Elle who was calling to him (rather desperately now). Either way, he accepted his mission and took of running.
Ike shot past Dane, who was slowly but surely approaching the sparks, and stumbled through some thicket and brush, almost ran straight into a large tree trunk, redirected himself, whooshed past Dane again, made a U-turn, bumped into Dane, climbed over Dane, and ended up right at the edge of the pit.
He waved at Elle and grinned proudly. Then it hit him that the rescue really didn't mean as much if he couldn't give her a heroic rescue hug, so he jumped down into the pit, landing on his feet with an 'OOF!'.
"Dude, I found you! What do I win?" Like a desperate puppy who wanted a treat for fetching a ball, Ike threw his arms around Elle in a big hug, lifting her a few inches off the ground and squeezing her a little more tightly than was strictly necessary.
The fact that both of them were now stuck in the pit slipped his mind.
