Casey Christos ran up the stairs, skipping very other step. He burst into the room, noting with slight sadness that only one other resident of the room was in. He shot a glare at Chris Asher.
“What?” Chris asked, raising an eye brow at his companion. Chris was pulling a pair of black pantaloons up over his boxer shorts. He scowled at Casey for a moment, before tying the pants.
“You look funny. That’s all, Asher…” Casey shrugged, smiling good-naturedly at his friend. He watched Chris pull on a pair of black leather boots before running over to his own bed.
“So what are you wearing, anyway?” Chris asked, beginning to tie up the strings on his first boot. Once both boots were on, he grabbed a leather tunic like contraption off his bed. It was black, lots of buttons, a side strap, with his wand in the holster, and a strap across his waist, or it would have been, had he been wearing it.
“This!” Casey grinned, pulling out a white shirt and a gold crest. Chris gave him a please-tell-me-that-is-not-it look. Casey laughed, “It’s got a lot of parts, I guess.” He said, retrieving the rest of the outfit from his chest. A black cloth vest, black medieval pants, black leather boots, and a black hat with a red feather. “That’s… weird… I had a sword…” She said in confusion. He looked up to see Chris laughing.
“Here. You are so unprepared… I took that from you two weeks ago, and you didn’t notice until today. Way to keep on things, Christos.” He said, tossing a sword in it’s holster at his friend, who caught it with two fingers. Chris returned to his dressing, pulling on the leather outfit. He resembled on old fashioned Highway man, but with a nicer budget.
“Thanks…” Casey said, rolling his eyes as he stripped off his shoes, jeans, plaid button up shirt, and white undershirt. He gently placed his cowboy hat on his pillow, staring at it mournfully for a few moments before quickly dressing. Chris rolled his eyes this time, placing his mask on. It was silver with glowing vines across it, and a black hat on top, keeping it fit snug on his head.
“Christos, don’t worry. I’ll guard the hat. It won’t wither and die without you.” Chris said, watching Casey as he fell over, one leg in his boot, the other in the air. Once Casey had his clothes proportionate, he stood back up, his hand lingering above the tan hat. “You have another hat, Christos. It’ll be alright.”
“But it’s not my hat! It’s a masquerade hat! I know I own it… but it’s not the hat…” He sighed, taking the musketeer hat from the chest and fitting it on his face, before pulling it up over his blond hair. He slowly pulled the black velvet mask up over his face, it’s gold glittering lining accenting his hair. He quickly made a bow of the gold cord behind his head, holding the mask up.
Neither boy said anything else, though Chris was fairly certain Casey was still mopping. They walked in silence toward the masquerade building, while Chris replayed his last event with Clover in his head.
“Stop that, Chris.” Casey sighed. Chris stood erect. Casey didn’t called him by his first name, he’d dubbed it, too much like Casey’s own last name, their second year together. And Chris had been Asher ever since, at least around Casey.
“Stop what, Christos?” Chris asked, walking faster to catch up the speed he’d lost in his shook. Once the boys were in time again, Casey spoke.
“Don’t think about Clover tonight. Don’t worry. Don’t stress. Don’t over react. Tonight is going to be fun.” Casey said, slapping his friend in the back as his happier tone returned, “Think about cute girls, besides Clover. Not that I’m saying anything good or bad about her appearance.” He said quickly, before Chris’ temperature could rise, “Ask some girls to dance, relax. Be the guy no one thinks you are… even though you are. Alright?” Casey asked, feeling oddly as if he’d just given a pep talk. Chris shrugged as they walked into the building.

((I hope you don't mind. If this is for someone else, I'll delete this post. If you wish.))
Rori was getting ready for the evening. She straightened her hair, and brushed it over and over again. She put a clip into it, pulling her bangs aside, and smiled. Her blue dress was on, hanging down on her body. She erased all of the wrinkles from her dress and slipped on her eye tops. She really didn't know that it was a costume party, but the fact of the matter is that she could probably go as a blonde singer, which she probably was going to do. She grabbed hold of her mask, and walked around the room, trying to remember if she needed to do anything before going. She laid her mask back down, and decided that maybe a little make up wouldn't hurt.
She got into her make up supplies and started to apply it to her skin. She slipped on her mask, and looked at herself in the mirror. She bit her lip, and then applied some lipgloss to her lips, and nodded, happy with how she looked now. She smiled, happily, and walked out of her room, and out of her common room, and out of the school. She waited for her friend, and looked around.
Bethany had gotten ready for the Masquerade hours before, and was still deciding on what to wear. She decided to wear a red dress with a crimson mask. With her pale skin, it would probably pop out at people. It was kind of a japanese dress. Just kind of. She came out, with a bit of make up, and her crimson mask on. She saw her friend and smiled, them hooking arms. "Hey Rori," She said, "Very pretty."
Rori smiled more ask they hooked arms, and blinked. "Hey Bethie, beautiful dress," She said with a nod. They walked off to the building they were suppose to head to. They walked through the door, and smiled at the ball, and walked more into it. So they weren't in the way. They looked around. "Now where to start?" Bethie asked Rori.
Rori looked over to Bethie, and then put her finger to her chin. "You should ask someone to dance." Bethany's face turned red, from deep blushing.
Her voice in a whisper, she said, "You know I can't do that. I'm a wimp." She looked around, and smiled a bit more. "And that wouldn't be fair, because you aren't asking anyone to dance."
Rori shrugged. "I'll ask when the time comes. Really, I'm just seeing if anyone we know is here. Besides each other." She chuckled and Bethany kept quiet, and searched through the place. Rori did the same, swearing she saw Casey somewhere in the crowd. She knew he was coming, but he was gonna be wearing the same hat that he usually did. That was all she knew. That was who she knew was coming out of all of her friends, besides Beth.

Casey lifted a glass of something to his lips, drinking it as he eyed Chris. Chris had taken what Casey had said, a little more to heart than Casey’d expected. He’d have been ecstatic at the lack of mentioning Clover by name; But this was special.
Chris had just consumed his third sugar coated object. This was one nearly the size of his fist. He didn’t give it another thought, as he downed a full glass of a clear liquid that he realized, when it was half way down his throat, was not water. He coughed for about ten seconds before Casey gave him a hard slap on the back.
“Thanks.” Chris laughed, grinning. Casey twitched at him. “What?”
“You… are eating… a lot.” Casey said, walking with him, carefully moving their conversation away from the buffet table.
“Oh… well, it’s just that I don’t have a lot of money… and I have to make sure I stay healthy. Because if-“ Chris had begun to ramble on when Casey slapped him in the back again.
“Say no more, Asher. Or I’ll have to tranquilize you. So… what was I saying about girls earlier?” Casey mused aloud, dragging Chris around the room by his arm.
“No.” Chris said seriously, though Casey caught a hint of humor, “I am not dancing.”
“Oh yes you are. Now just let me find a girl. Because I know you won’t go seeking one out.” Casey said, letting go of Chris’ arm as he wandered off. Chris was forced to follow him, lest he be met with a random girl sent to him by Casey: The matchmaker. Chris shuddered at the thought.
When the two came upon two girls, wearing blue and red dresses, they stopped. Casey walked over to the two girls, followed, about fifteen feet behind, by Chris.
“Hello, can he dance with one of you?” Casey said. He could just picture Chris’ jaw dropping, without having to turn around and see it for himself. Chris, standing still, was considering him options. He could, one, hit Casey, dragging him away as he told the girls it was just a harmless joke. Or he could, two, run. “See him, back there?” Casey asked, gesturing back to Chris. Both options seems a bit less doable now. But he could still hit Casey.

Bethany watched as a boy came up to them, and she immediately started to blush. "Rori," She whispered softly. Rori looked over at Bethany and her blushing face, then up to see someone that looked oddly familiar, coming toward them.
“Hello, can he dance with one of you?”
Rori heard the voice, and she recognized it right away. She didn't say a word, she looked over to Bethany, and shrugged. "You should, Bethany, I mean, you need someone." Rori chuckled, and Bethany blushed.
"Al-Alright, I'll dance with him," She said softly.
“See him, back there?”
Bethany nodded and passed by the boy, and to the other and smiled, waving slightly. "Hey," She said softly. She looked back over to Rori, then back again. "It seemed like he volunteered you." She shrugged. "Unless you were too shy to ask anyone," She stated. "But that's how I usually am." She blinked a couple of times.
Rori looked over at the masked boy who was still there. "Casey, Casey, Casey, even that mask can't hide who you are." She chuckled a bit and smiled. "But thats just a guess, really. Voices are what I'm best at noticing." She crossed her arms a tiny bit, and then blinked. She showed him the best smile she could come up with. "So, Case, who are you here with? Just your friend?" She asked him. She looked over at Bethany, who was blushing like mad. "I hope she knows when to breath."

“Al-Alright, I’ll dance with him,” replied the red-dressed girl. Casey caught her name. Bethany. He didn’t know her, but he knew of her. She might not be the best dance partner for Chris, only because she was perfect for him. Casey watched her walk over to Chris. Oh dear, he’d been hoping for someone outgoing to force Chris to dance. But then again, outgoing annoyed Chris sometimes, so he might have just walked away. Shy was nice, Chris was polite to shy girls. Casey grinned.
“Hey.” Bethany said softly, walking up to Chris. He looked down at her. She was at least a foot shorter than him, he felt like a giant. It was awkward. “It seemed like he volunteered you. Unless you were too shy to ask anyone, But that’s how I usually am.”
Chris gulped. Man, Casey, that idiot. Had he known who the girl was? He certainly knew how to mess with Chris, who was currently giving Bethany a weak, and nervous, smile.
“Um…” Chris said, expecting the words to just come to him as his mouth opened. They didn’t. He closed his mouth, looking at the girl. “No, it wasn’t that. He just thinks-“ Chris shouldn’t explain. Then he might scare her off, since she probably wouldn’t want to impose on him if she knew he really didn’t want to dance.
Chris squinted at the girl for a moment, “Sure. I can understand being shy. You seem nice enough to get a date though. Being shy can be a hindrance though.” She shrugged, “So, I’m Chris, anyway.” He said. Not sure if he should reveal his identity, seeing as he had such a nice mask. He didn’t really care, so he didn’t let it bug him.
Meanwhile Casey was still standing next to Rori, who he had yet to identify. He wasn’t even looking at her at first, amusing himself with how uncomfortable Chris seemed to be.
“Casey, Casey, Casey, even that mask can't hide who you are. But thats just a guess, really. Voices are what I'm best at noticing. So, Case, who are you here with? Just your friend? I hope she knows when to breath.” Rori said. Casey looked down at her, realizing instantly whom he was talking to.
“Hello, Rori.” Casey chuckled. Case. People didn’t usually call him Case. Christos. Casey. But not Case. Or Duncan for that matter, but if they’d called him that, he’d be a bit mortified. “Who said I was trying to hide anything? Yeah, Bethany might collapse if she doesn’t breathe. And then Chris would have to beat me up for setting him up with a fainting girl. But he’d know what to do. He’s dealt with things like that before.” Casey said seriously. Thinking of Clover. He glancing around, “So how’s the dance been so far for you, Rori?”

Bethany showed him a small smile. "I'm Bethany." She looked at the table beside them. "I'm not really interested..in dancing. You want to sit down?" She asked him softly, not looking at him, but at the table. She looked over to Rori, not knowing what to do. Rori would've gone over there, but she was too busy talking to Casey. Bethany bit her lip, and looked back, slowly sitting down.
Rori smiled to Casey. "I never said you were." She looked at the dance floor then back to him. "Yeah, Bethany isn't good with words. So...lets hope she'll speak." She chuckled and grasps both of her hands. "Oh, well I just arrived here. I haven't gotten to do anything yet, besides talk to you, but thats the limelight of my night right now."

“I’m Bethany.” The girl said, looking off. “I’m not really interested…” She was saying. Oh no, Chris’ mind was working again. He hated it when he did this. What wasn’t she interested in? Oh the options were endless. Him? That shouldn’t matter, they just met. Air? That’d be odd. Life? That would be sad. “In dancing.”
Chris let out a deep breath. Dancing? He wasn’t interested in that either. Good.
“You want to sit down?” She asked, still looking away. She sat down at a table, and Chris noticed her looking at Casey and a girl. Chris scowled at Casey, the boy was flirting… well, maybe not flirting, Chris couldn’t have identified flirting if he was the one doing it. But Casey was happy, he was always happy, and Chris was uncomfortable, something he wasn’t usually.
He sat near Bethany, “Yeah. I’m not all that interesting in dancing either. But I suppose my friend wants me to socialize. Ever had the feeling like your friends think they know better about your life than you do? I don’t think most people get that feeling… but Christos… he’s something.” Chris chuckled, not even realizing that he usually didn’t talk that much.
“I never said you were. Yeah, Bethany isn’t good with words. So… let’s hope she’ll speak.” Rori laughed. Casey nodded,
“Of course. Dialogue is good. I can’t be assured whether of not Chris will speak. He agreed to relax… but otherwise he’d be something close to the grim reaper.” Casey said, not caring if any understood what he meant.
“Oh, well I just arrived here. I haven’t gotten to do anything yet, besides talk to you, but that’s the limelight of my night right now.”
“Awe, thanks, Rori.” Casey laughed, putting a hand over his heart and giving her an adoring look. But after a moment he grinned, “Chris and I walked over, and went straight to the food. He has enough sugar in him to be flying without a broom. But then I decided that… and look at him! He’s sitting…” Casey sighed, shaking his head in the direction of his friend. “I guess I can’t win them all.”

“Yeah. I’m not all that interesting in dancing either. But I suppose my friend wants me to socialize. Ever had the feeling like your friends think they know better about your life than you do? I don’t think most people get that feeling… but Christos… he’s something.”
Bethany kept her eyes on him, as he spoke. She stayed silent for a few moments, and then opened her mouth. "Of course I've had it. Rori there thinks she knows every little thing about my life. But all she knows is what she wants to know and she doesn't care about anything else. But she is really my best friend. I just keep my past away from her." She nodded to him. "So don't worry, you aren't alone on that. Probably many people, maybe not in Hogwarts, but many people around the world probably live through that everyday."
“Of course. Dialogue is good. I can’t be assured whether of not Chris will speak. He agreed to relax… but otherwise he’d be something close to the grim reaper.”
"Aww, poor guy." Rori looked over at them and then looked back at Casey.
“Chris and I walked over, and went straight to the food. He has enough sugar in him to be flying without a broom. But then I decided that… and look at him! He’s sitting…I guess I can’t win them all.”
Rori nodded. "Bethany probably asked him to sit down. She probably is even too nervous to do anything, just talk. At least their getting along. Lets just hope Chris doesn't say the wrong thing. Bethany goes into 'Me-ouch' mode. I mean. She doesn't have any anger problems, it just goes with her being depressed all the time, about her past, about her future. She met a nice guy before, guess that he felt like he didn't want to talk to her anymore." She shrugged.
"And you shouldn't you shouldn't be talking. You aren't doing anything but standing here, talking to me." She chuckled.

Chris watched Bethany for a moment. He was glad to be sitting, he felt less awkward, and the height difference wasn’t helping. “Of course I’ve hat it. Rori there thinks she knows every little thing about my life. But all she knows is what she wants to know and she doesn’t care about anything else. But she is really my best friend. I just keep my past away from her. So don’t worry, you aren’t alone on that. Probably many people, maybe not in Hogwarts, but many people around the world probably live through that everyday.”
Chris smirked, “Yeah. Casey’s one of my best friends. Him and my-…” Chris let his voice trail, coughing to cover up his slip. Even though he doubted it helped. He sort of assuming no one knew anything about him, but that everyone knew Clover was sick. But he’d promised not to think about her, so he planned on living up to his word, much as it frustrated him. “Yeah. That’s good to hear. But at least Rori cares about you. Casey knows a lot about me… he just refuses to pity me. Be glad he doesn’t pity you, it’s not the most enjoyable thing in the world. He doesn’t believe in pity, I figure.” Chris laughed lightly. He didn’t know if Bethany knew what he meant, but he didn’t feel like explaining it unless she asked. “So, were you looking forward to tonight?” He asked finally.
"Aww, poor guy." Rori said. Casey blinked at her. Chris? Poor? Pobre? Nope. That guy was entirely fine. He could talk if he wanted. But he wasn’t poor.
"Bethany probably asked him to sit down. She probably is even too nervous to do anything, just talk.” Oh man. It looked like Casey was going to have to match Chris up with someone outgoing now. Even if he might not been all that polite… oh the downside of his job. He’d have to find someone in between. “At least their getting along. Lets just hope Chris doesn't say the wrong thing. Bethany goes into 'Me-ouch' mode. I mean. She doesn't have any anger problems, it just goes with her being depressed all the time, about her past, about her future. She met a nice guy before, guess that he felt like he didn't want to talk to her anymore.”
“Hmmm…” Casey said, listening closely. She sounded sad. But Casey really wasn’t the one you’d go to for a hug. He could be a good shoulder to cry on, but if you wanted any sympathy, he wasn’t the best place to find it.
"And you shouldn't be talking. You aren't doing anything but standing here, talking to me.” Rori laughed.
“Oh, well who said anything about me? I don’t need to dance. I’m a well adjusted individual, Rori. Unlike Asher. Yup…” Casey grinned, reverting back to his normal nick-name for Chris. “Besides, at least I’m talking of my own free will. Asher doesn’t even do that. But I shouldn’t be talking about him behind his back, I suppose. How’re you Rori?” Casey asked cheerfully, changing the subject.

Bethany blinked a couple of times. "Well, to tell you the truth, even though I don't understand why, Rori's got a certain interest in him. Don't ask me why, ask her," She stated with a wave of her hand. She looked over to him. "I don't know. I looked forward to it, and its not going so well. But the nights young something bad's bound to happen to someone." Bethany wasn't the one to be happy cheery about stuff. She let Rori handle that. Bethany was the girl who was left in the dark, and she decided not to leave it. She was happy most times, but there was some she wasn't.
Bethany shrugged. "Sorry, had sadness get the best of me," She said. "I'm suprised you haven't ditched me by now. I would've been alright with that." She shrugged. "But some boys tend to change now-a-days. I guess." She looked down at the table, then said she would be right back, going to get a butterbeer. "Do you want anything while I'm up?" She asked him, just in case.
Rori stood there, and sighed over at Bethany. "So you just going to stand there and watch Chris all day?" She asked him, biting her lip. She looked at the dancefloor, and then over to the drinks, which what looked like Bethany was heading for. "Case, if you want to get Chris away from Bethany, you may as well do it right now," Rori said softly. Rori looked at Casey, then to Bethany. Rori didn't want to do it, but Bethany looked upset. It was never a good thing when Bethany was upset.
"Lets hope she doesn't get herself hurt by the end of the night," Rori said worriedly about her friend. She looked over at Case. "I don't want her feeling sad. Like she looks like right now. She probably thinks Chris hates her, and that she doesn't belong in the world. But thats how she was when someone did that to her before. Thats why she turned anorexic in the first place. Good think she's actually trying. She's getting better, and I'm proud of her. Really, really proud of her." Rori shrugged. She was talking about her friend too much right now. Rori looked down at the ground. She hated when she was mean to her friend, but right now, it seemed neither of the two were having fun over there.

“Well, to tell you the truth, even though I don’t understand why, Rori’s got a certain interest in him. Don’t ask me why, ask her,” Bethany said. Chris laughed, that was a bit harsh. He could see why girls might like Casey, especially over himself. But apparently Bethany was not into the type of guy Casey was. Happy.
“I don’t know. I looked forward to it, and its not going so well. But the nights young something bad’s bound to happen to someone.” She said. Chris raised an eye brow, was that good? Something bad? She was sounding a bit unusual, but he wasn’t about to tell her that.
“Sorry, had sadness get the best of me, I’m surprised you haven’t ditched me by now. I would’ve been alright with that. But some boys tend to change now-a-days. I guess.”
“Um, Bethany. I’m not the sort of guy to just walk away from anyone. Unless they insult me, and… well that’s only in specific occasions.” He said, realizing he took insults on a broader range than some people. And most “specific occasions” meant Jude.
“Do you want anything while I’m up?” Bethany asked. Chris would have asked for a water, but he felt awkward asking her to get him anything, so he shook his head, examining his palms.
"So you just going to stand there and watch Chris all day?" Rori asked. Casey looked at her, she was glancing at the dance floor.
“Well I am his keeper… but no. It’s fine, he’s a big boy, he can handle himself, but just for tonight. It’s good to get a night for myself every once in a while, he’s teething now… keeps me up all night.” Casey grinned, his sarcasm wasn’t evident in his voice, which sounded painfully honest, but that grin gave it away.
“Case, if you want to get Chris away from Bethany, you may as well do it right now,” Rori said softly. Casey raised an eye brow at her,
“And why would I go and do a thing like that? Asher needs social interaction. And this is just the way for him to get it. You sound sad, by the way. You shouldn’t.”
"Lets hope she doesn't get herself hurt by the end of the night, I don't want her feeling sad. Like she looks like right now. She probably thinks Chris hates her, and that she doesn't belong in the world. But that’s how she was when someone did that to her before. That’s why she turned anorexic in the first place. Good think she's actually trying. She's getting better, and I'm proud of her. Really, really proud of her.”
“Um… Asher’s my best friend, and he wouldn’t do anything to hurt her. Now I can’t control her feeling sad, but if she gets that way, it won’t be his fault.” Casey said seriously. He looked at his friend, she seemed too worried, and the Masquerade should be fun. It was Halloween night after all. “Rori, would you like to dance?” He asked, hoping she’d say yes, so he could take her mind off of Bethany.

Bethany nodded. She had to get rid of her sour mood, but how? She had thought to herself, as she got herself a butterbeer. Once she got back, she put on a smile, thinking of some happy memories she had. "I'm sorry. I..just haven't been up to anything in the past few days. Rori did volunteer me for this, but I had fun setting up. But like other girls, I wanted to feel like Cinderella," She laughed, "But then again, I didn't want to. The rich feeling, its so snobbish, about some, very few." She gave him such a small smile, a happy one.
She opened her butterbeer, or tried to, but couldn't get it completely open, it was too tight on it for her. "Could you open this?" Bethany asked Chris. She felt as though she was a weakling, because she couldn't get it open, but its better to ask, then be stubborn. "Did you expect something to happen tonight? Or did you just come here for a certain reason?" She boosted her smile to a one that fit, ear to ear.
Rori had finally settled. She was happy, to see her friend was happy. She turned to Casey, and nodded. "Of course, dancing sounds like fun." Rori walked with him to the dance floor. She was having a great time. "You know what I miss? Trick or Treating like little kids. But since Hogwarts, I'm not able to. I'll go back to it after Hogwarts." She chuckled and smiled a bit more. "How are we going to dance?" She asked him, with a sort of nervous smile, because she didn't know how to dance so well.

Chris sighed, he looked around the room, Casey was still talking to his friend. That was good, Chris envied him. If he had friends… he would be talking to them. Friends besides Casey that is. Then Bethany came back, smiling. Chris smiled back,
“I’m sorry. I… just haven’t been up to anything in the past few days. Rori volunteered me for this, but I had fun setting up. But like other girls, I wanted to feel like Cinderella,”
“Do they?” Chris mumbled to himself. He hadn’t the slightest clue what girls wanted. Well, for the most part. Sure he could understand what Clover needed, but sometimes what she wanted got under his skin. Like Jude, what was up with that kid? More importantly, Chris had never wanted to be a Cinderella, luckily. So he couldn’t relate to that.
“But then again, I didn’t want to.” She wanted to…but didn’t? Chris raised an eye brow. “The rich feeling, it’s so snobbish, about some, very few.” She smiled. Chris nodded like he’d understood. He wouldn’t like to feel snobbish, he supposed. But he would certainly take money… his wasn’t too proud for begging. He’d been reduced to that in the past. It wasn’t fun. If he was rich… he wouldn’t have to beg… he sighed.
“Better to be snobbish than broke and broken…” He said, looking distant, “I think.”
“Could you open this?” Bethany asked, offering her butterbeer to Chris. He nodded, opening it easily. He set it down in front of Bethany, letting her keep talking, “Did you expect something to happen tonight? Or did you just come here for a certain reason?”
“I just came because everyone was coming… I mean, why be stuck alone at the school? Plus I think Christos would have found a way to get me here if I’d refused. He’s talented in strange ways.” Chris shrugged, “I didn’t expect anything… honestly I just picked a costume and went with it.” He laughed. “And what did you expect, if anything, Bethany?”
Meanwhile Casey walked to the dance floor with his friend. “Of course, dancing sounds like fun.”
Casey didn’t respond to that. Dancing didn’t entirely sound fun but he supposed it wouldn’t be bad. He could dance, thank you mother. He just didn’t dance. It wasn’t that he didn’t like to, honestly. He could enjoy dancing, he just hadn’t found anyone in a while who liked to dance.
“You know what I miss? Trick or Treating with little kids.” Rori said. Casey laughed. His mother, in the likeness for normalcy, had let him take Jeremiah Trick or Treating. He supposed his father had taken Jeremiah while Casey was off at school. Candice probably went too now. “But since Hogwarts, I’m not able to. I’ll go back to it after Hogwarts.” Rori chuckled. Casey shot her an amused grin.
“Twenty years old and trick or treating, eh? Oh the looks you’ll be getting.”
“How are we going to dance?” Rori asked, looking a bit nervous. Casey assumed she was one of two things, not the greatest dancer, or awkward around him. Since he hadn’t a clue why she’d be awkward around him, and she usually wasn’t, he figured she didn’t dance much. He stood silent for just a moment, hearing the music float around him.
“Like this.” He said. He moved a bit with the music. Not enough to look like a fool or anything, he actually looked like he’d done this before.
