TRAITS/PERSONALITY Growing up with a bunch of boys and only having three other women in the house, I think it's safe to say I'm a tomboy. I'm not scared of dirt or wrestling around with the boys, and I can be sort of a daredevil at times. I can never refuse a dare from my brothers, even when I know it'll get me in trouble. I'm a bit loud and hyper, though so is most of my family! Kind of a little rebellious as well. What's the fun in following the rules ALL of the time, you know?! I'm also really energetic and active, and during my Muggle school years, played a lot of sports to get rid of that energy. Most of it, anyways.
SPECIAL ABILITIES N/A
HISTORY I grew up in Whitechapel, London, the fourth child and first daughter of the family. Whitechapel might not have been the cleanest, safest neighborhood, but with a family as large and ever-growing as mine, there was safety in numbers! It was a perfect fit for us, anyways. We always made due. There was no way my parents could have afforded to live in a bigger house, in any case- not with as many siblings as I had.
My parents and older brothers knew I was a bit different almost right from the start. The story I used to hear the most was about how the lightbulbs in the room all popped when I got mad at John for picking on me as an toddler. It scared the crap out of not only him, but my parents, Jake, and Ben as well. There was another instance where we were all wrestling around and the boys got a little too rough, and when one of them grabbed me, they got a nasty shock. I barely remember it. Toys would often end up in my hands whenever I couldn't reach them, too- all of which my parents just seemed to write off and push to the backs of their minds.
So it was a huge shock when I received a letter inviting me to attend a wizarding school. Sure, we all knew that I was a bit odd, but me? A witch? Totally blew us out of the water, warning signs or not.
But of course I wanted to go. More than anything.
Diagon Alley was the first 'non-Muggle' place I visited- not to mention the first time I'd really ever seen other witches or wizards. At least that I knew of. And the shops! Cauldrons and broomsticks and wands! The wand shop was my favorite. Getting to actually hold real wands that shot out real magic was the coolest thing ever. Especially considering that the right one will bond with you! I love the wand I ended up getting, but trying out others beforehand was definitely fun. And then to top it all off, I got to pick out an animal to take to school with me! I'd never had a pet before, but I fell in love instantly with a silver tabby cat who was just about as lively as me. I named him George, after my favorite member of the Beatles.
With everything bought and ready to go, I headed off to my first year of magical school ready to take on anything! It was a blast, to say the least- even though I didn't make the Quidditch team when I tried out, which is now my favorite sport. But who knows. Maybe now that I'm a little older and am more used to flying, I'll make the team this year! I'm definitely planning on making the most of what I learned!

SAMPLE RP Peyton was all ears while the two older students started filling her in about what happened during the two Wizarding Wars. She wasn't normally that interested in history- it was just so boring!- but after hearing those two names thrown around so much, the girl couldn't help but be a little curious. Had she ever gone to school where famous people had attended? Even if one was famous for starting a war, while the other helped defeat him and end that war? Nope, she hadn't. But it was sort of cool to think she was walking the same halls that they had.
What wasn't cool to think about was the fact that the purebloods had been extremely racist towards half bloods and Muggle-borns then, too. Muggle-borns, like her. Peyton had definitely heard the word Mudblood thrown her way a few times during her first year, but she hadn't really understood what it meant until she asked one of the teachers and had it explained to her.
She didn't like it, naturally. So by the next time she heard someone call her Mudblood, she'd learned of a perfectly innocent little tongue-tying hex from an older friend and had practiced it enough to be able to cast it on the person making fun of her. And while it had gotten her in trouble, that specific student certainly hadn't bothered her after that, at least not to her face. It was too bad that she wasn't allowed to use magic outside of school, either, because Peyton could think of half a million times that it would come in handy at home- especially on Ellie and her loud mouth.
"They should teach us about it anyways. Something that huge that happened not long ago? There's no way they can really keep people from finding out about it." Maybe she wasn't the biggest fan of hearing about a bunch of things that happened in the past, but that didn't mean it wasn't important! Like Isabella had said, those who didn't learn from the past would end up repeating it, and if you weren't taught about what happened and it was forgotten...
Peyton definitely didn't want to live in a world that was dangerous for her simply because she was a witch with Muggle parents.
"There are books in the library that you can look up on this subject matter, if you're interested, Peyton." The library? Boring~ She only ever went there when it was required, for study breaks and homework. Otherwise, the library wasn't her scene. Still... "Maybe, if they end up not teaching us about it in class." The sudden sound of the compartment door sliding open stole her attention, and the moment her eyes landed on the Ravenclaw boy standing in the entrance, Peyton grew even more enthusiastic. She recognized him! Quin was apologizing and ducking back out before she could say anything to him, though. Darn.
"He played a really great game in Quidditch last year... I hope I make the team this year so that I can play, too!" Because who the hell wouldn't want to play a game where you flew around on broomsticks?!
