Bradly stood outside of the doors to where the Masquerade was being held. He sighed, looking down at his gloved hands. They were covered in his themed design of silk and satin...but anyone could tell he was shaking.
As usual, Bradly was proud to show off his Irish heritage. He had done a minor charm upon his head so that his hair would blaze like fire and his eyes would pierce like the very Emerald Isle itself. His costume was, of course, green. It was a Victorian Gentlemen's outfit, made completely from silk. It took a deep, forest green shade wherever it met shadows, but it seemed to futter to a shining emerald when it was struck by light. Bradly was very proud of his handiwork. He had also paper mache'd his own mask. It was white and green in a checkerboard shape. He had worked a ton and lost a lot of sleep making his costume, especially when he found out...She might be there. He had used almost every extra moment he had down in the dungeons to make sure that his costume was the best. He wanted to impress....
Though, now that he looked at it, he should have used that extra time on his hands to make better lessons. He was pretty sure that the students didn't learn a thing those couple of weeks when She had been on his mind.
Oh, he had heard the stories. She was a free spirit, she had children. He didn't care. As long as Amanda Definstine looked his way in any case, he was sure that the very gates of heaven would forgive him. Not that he was sure she would even come. He hadn't been the best back at Honeydukes...crazy and hyped up with sugar. He was definantly staying away from the punch bowl.
He sighed, taking back into the reality around him. He placed his top hat upon his head and fastened his jacket around him. He propped his cane underneath his arm and walked in. So far, so good...
He was awestruck by the place. He had been raised in a small, wizarding home that wasn't too well off. The Masquerade parties he had gone to as a little boy had only been small, minute ones that had just been held by local shepherds and maybe the local mayor. They had never been anywhere near as big as the one he was in now. He walked into the lobby, his eyes to the ceiling. Fancy...He said, and he looked down at his atire. I look like a bloody homeless man..To his eye, he was pretty sure that any second now he'd be thrown out cause some patron had said a hobo had wondered into the place. He tried his hardest to wipe off the grime that had magically appeared upon his person. There was no way that the Potion Master would be even noticed...and he slipped off into the side areas.

And she thought she could get away without going, she truly did. But Katharine, for some reason wasn't going to let this go. Amanda even locked her doors so Katharine wouldn't be able to get in, and she would have to leave her be, and let her just stay home. But even locking the doors didn't seem to do the trick. Katharine literally kicked her door down. Which has yet been repaired. Amanda stared at Katharine as she huffed for a few seconds, her back bent over, and was holding some big bag, and two smaller bags. "Wow, that was a rush!", she stood up fully and made her way towards Amanda.
"You broke my door..." Amanda muttered as Katharine pushed her into her bedroom. There was no argueing now, the crazy lady was going to have it her way, even if Amanda through up a fight. She would most likely knock her out, and dress her herself, and wake her up by the time she was at the dance. To top it all off she might have placed her in Bradly's arms before Amanda was fully awake, and would wake up in his arms. She didn't want that. So now she had to full particapate.
Katharine had a very good taste in dressed thats for sure. The dress was a royal purple, with a tight bodice that was studded with rhinestones. The straps were thin and delicate, with a wide open back. The front was a basic V neck but a little lower, showing off Amanda's cleavage. it has a loose, big skirt that gathered here and there to give the effect of cake icing. When Amanda slipped it on, it showed off all her curves, and her slenderness extremely well, looking like a down right beauty.
Katharine took forever on the hair, which Amanda couldn't really understand why. She just wanted it up, and left alone, not all these pins and lots of hairspray. In the end the results were good. It was a basic french twist, with a bit of her layered bangs out to the side. Once Katharine was finished with that she soft pink-ish colors of make-up to show off her facial features as much as she could.
When she was done, she set out the shoes she picked out for Amanda, which were a sandal high heel, the color of the dress, maybe a bit darker, but pretty close. Amanda looked at herself in the mirror, she looked amazing, almost like she wasn't a mother at all. Which reminded her, who was babysitting the kids? Before objections came out of her mouth, Pinky popped up grinning madly. "I will take care of them miss! Don't you worry! You have a good time now!"
It was like Pinky was rushing Katharine and Amanda out the door. Amanda and Katharine walked together down to the dance, it was probably mostly because she wanted to make sure Amanda actually got to the dance. Once there, before Amanda got to go in, Katharine pulled her back and smiled, "Forgot something."
She held up a dainty mask that matched the color of the dress. It was gold at the top, and leaked into a dark purple at the bottum. It had violet shade twirls and cute designs around the mask, with scattered glitter. On the right side different shades of purple, and gold feathers were there. "Oh, it's beautiful!" Katharine grinned and slipped it on her face. Katharine then disappeared, probably in search for Michael. Tonight, Katharine was much like the godmother in Cinderella, fixing the 'I'm not going to go', in an extremely beautiful gown.
Amanda shifted oddly in the hall, what was she suppose to do now? She bit her lip nervously and walked in, seeing a load of people, and the beautiful decorations. Maybe finding a place against the wall would be good... She slowly made her way around the people, and found a safe place to just... stand.

Bradly shifted from one foot to the other, his eyes glancing around him constantly. How was he bloody supposed to recognize her? Or even worse, how was she was supposed to recognize him? IT WAS A BLOODY MASQUERADE BALL! He groaned slightly and made his way towards the back. Perhaps he should just...take his leave. Say hi to those who deserved such a reply...and then head home...
He was on his way around the back room when he accidentally ran into a tall women in a purple mask."My sincerest apologies marm.."He looked closer...and blinked."Amanda?"

The wall, as we all know, was often known as the 'regects' place to be. It was a place for all the teens that couldn't dance, or didn't have a date, but showed up anyway for some odd reason, when they didn't have friends here either. It was also a place for all the teachers, or "chaperones" stand not really sure what to do with themselves. It was a place Amanda had never really had to be, but now she was stuck there. What, did growing up cut off all her partying? Her social status went down? Maybe just a tad, she couldn't really be amazing friends with her students, it would seem 'unprofessional', nor could she date a student. So she was left with the adults. Which was fine, she was friends with Katharine, and Michael. And Katharine seemed to be trying to get her out there into the world, and see what fishes were avalible, or see if Bradly was. It was clear what Katharine was trying to do, and Amanda wasn't sure about her plan, or if she saw it really fair to Bradly. If he didn't like her, he shouldn't be forced by Katharine's pushiness, to date her.
Amanda had kind of lost herself in her thoughts, when someone wacked her. She blinked and looked around, someone with a green mask was facing her. He was no doubt probably the attacker.
"My sincerest apologies marm.."
Amanda nodded, but paused, she knew that accent! Before she got a chance to say anything, Bradly asked first.
"Amanda?"
"Hi!" She said, pulling her mask up so he could see that it was her. She smiled at him, maybe a bit too happy, but she was happy to see him. If he hadn't bumped into her, she would never have someone actually talk to her. Or so she'd like to think, he probably just saved her from something crazy Katharine would have done, like pushed her into him. She looked at him, liking the costume, it was very unique. "I like your costume."

"Hi!" Amanda replied to his questionings in a rather ecstatic way. Bradly lifted an eyebrow, but he couldn't help but smile. He was trying his hardes to show how happy he was that it was Amanda he had run into and not someone else, like Carlotta. He quickly looked down at his costume and put his hands in his pockets uncomfortably...
"I like your costume.
Errrrr....what?
Bradly blinked and looked up again. She liked his costume...of course she did! It was the best in the house! He grinned and took his hands out of his pockets."Thanks...I had it...special made."He said, rather unconvincingly. "I like yours as well...it is...very fitting."He said, trying to hide the rush of blood that had swelled to his cheeks. He rubbed the back of his head, then looked up at her."I didn't think you were going to come..."He said, knowing that he probably sounded more excited than just a casual co-worker would.
He glanced over at the new students who were coming in through the doors."I love All Hallow's Eve...we have huge festivities back for it back 'ome..."He said, nodding. In truth, the wizards of Ireland had more than that. He loved it when his father had charmed the jack-o-lanterns to scream at the children as they walked past, or how he had put a darkness charm across the walking trail to spook out late night lovers. After all, it was his fathers birthday. How else to celebrate? He sighed, looking back down at his feet. It had also been his brothers favorite holiday as well....but he wasn't going to think about that right now. Not with Amanda.

"Thanks...I had it...special made. I like yours as well...it is...very fitting."
Amanda's golden eyes blinked down at her dress. It was form fitting. Was it too much? Was it too much like her old self? She bit her lip and looked up at him, "Is it... too form fitting?" Her voice was soft and worried, she didn't want to seem like a slut, even though before the twins she kind of was. But she never believed she was. She always told herself she was just a 'confident woman', someone who was willing to show off what she's got. And she was, just that showing too much got her in a life changing trouble.
"I didn't think you were going to come..."
Her smile brightened, "I wasn't planning on it. But someone, not naming any names, Katharine broke my door. So I thought it'd be safer to just give in and go." It was true sadly. Katharine, the patite nurse, kicked down her down without a second thought. Amanda feared that if she refused she would be bent in half.
"I love All Hallow's Eve...we have huge festivities back for it back 'ome..."
Amanda nodded, "I love Halloween. It's always fun to get a good scare and see the costumes people come up with." She fittled with her fingers as his eyes trailed off to some new students stepping in. She turned to look too, but turned back to him, "Um, hey, you want to dance?"

"Is it... too form fitting?"
Bradly looked over and blinked."What?" He tilted his head...then realized what she was saying. "OH!No no no...I didn't mean it that way...I meant it in the way that it really suits you."He grinned, closing his eyes. He hadn't meant it in a way to offend her or make himself sound like a pervert. Yikes. That's the last thing he wanted to do. He quickly looked away, being thankful that his mask covered his blushing face.
He looked down at his feet, moving them two and fro as to avoid any awkward moments.
"I love Halloween. It's always fun to get a good scare and see the costumes people come up with." Bradly looked back up, thankful for a change in topic. He was glad someone shared the same views as him. He looked down at his costume again, glad that she liked it.
"Um, hey, you want to dance?"Bradly blinked. Him, Mr. Two-Left-Feet, dance? He looked away....should he? Whould this mean anything?
She's gorgeous...wouldn't be caught dead with me..."He thought...but....he could try it. Maybe, just once.
He looked back up to her and nodded."Sure...but just to warn you...I suck."
