Maria was at the lake. Even though it was cold, she sat by the shore. She usually came out to the lake at night. She layed back and looked up at the moon. It was so bright and she couldn't help but not look at it.
Maria only looked away when she heard noises, like an owl or wolf, or something else. She looked up to the empty sky, to see no stars but satellites in the night sky. The satellites flickered in the sky, but it wasn't as bright as the moon was.

Kieger made his way through the grass to his favorite place on the lake. It had been a rough day, so he was just there to relax, and get his wits. Sighing happily he was about to sink down when he saw a subtle movement over to his left. He recognized the shape as a person, and sat on his knees. "Um, hello?"

Maria sat up quickly and looked over to where she heard something, "Hello," She said quietly. She showed a small smile and got closer, not so close though. She stretched out her arm for a handshake, "I'm Maria."
She normally would of stayed quiet and be frightened but something told her that she had nothing to be frightened about. She then sat with her legs out straight, her feet close to the water.

Kieger nervously smiled at her, shifting his gaze embarrasedly to the ground. He slowly extended his hand, blushing deeply. "I'm uhh, I'm Kieger. N-nice to meet you..." He gulped, hoping he didn't look like an idiot. She's really pretty... Kieger didn't really understand girls, but he did know that some of the girls in this school were very kind and pretty. He crossed his legs, settling himself on the banks of the lake with Maria. "So, uh, what are you doing out here?"

Maria looked over to him, "I am out here because of how peaceful it is out here. The moon is really bright also, so i decided to enjoy it," Maria said, "How 'bout you?"
She watched as many birds flew in the sky. Then her attention turned back to Kieger. She then looked to the ground.

Kieger looked up at the sky as he spoke. "I just came out here to relax too... It was a really long day, you know?" He settled himself in, feeling a little bit more secure as he spoke to Maria. He looked up at the sky again, then looked at her. "Do you ... ever wonder what it'd be like up there?" After a little bit he blushed and looked away from her. "I'm sorry, that was stupid. F-forget I said it..."

"It was not stupid," Maria said chuckling a little, "I somtimes do wonder, yes. Then other times I wonder why we're not up there, if we wanted to be up there so bad."
Maria looked over to him and then layed back onto her back. She looked up at the sky, the outside was quiet besides that they were talking. Their words echoed in the distance.

Kieger smiled at her response. "Yeah... you're right." He let them drift into a peaceful silence for a few minutes, enjoying the calming atmosphere. He turned on his side facing her, and looked at her. Oh, man... "You know," he stuttered. "I-I uhh, think you're really pretty... But-but don't think I'm just a hasty git! Um... oh man, I blew it..." He cursed himself mentally, wanting to get up and run away, but that would look even more foolish. He twiddled his fingers nervously, looking away from her.

"Aww, thats so sweet," Maria said, blushing a light shade of red. She moved over to him a little and kissed him on the cheek. She then moved back to where she was and giggled. She still looked at him, with a smile on her face.
She sat up a little, her hands behind her so she could lay back. "I am not going to think anything bad about you, don't worry."

Kieger blushed a deep red when he felt her kiss his cheek. He wrung his hands out nervously, and stuttered a welcome. "You-you're welcome, Maria... And um, thanks. I don't think anything bad about you either..." He smiled at her then quickly looked away feeling even more embarrassed. She really is sweet... "Do you, uh, wanna take a walk around the pond?"

"That would be nice," Maria said softly, looking to the ground. She smiled to him, with still a little blush on her face.
She got up and walked over to Kieger. She outstretched her arm to help him up.

He smiled up at her as he grasped her hand and pulled himself up. Blushing, he started walking with her feeling good inside but nervous. This is so awesome... She's so pretty... She doesn't even deserve to look at a guy like me... He nervously licked his lips, and looked at her. "Can I, ummm... Hold your hand?" He asked innocently. I hope that's not over doing it...

She giggled and held out her hand for him to hold. "Of course you can," Maria said smiling. She got closer to him. She looked over to him.
"So whats your favorite part about being outside at night?" She asked randomly. She didn't like silence, she did but not outside.

Her hands are so soft.... Kieger smiled, blushing deeply as she held his hand. He was so happy he almost missed the question. "What? Oh, I'm sorry! Um, my favorite thing is how quiet it is, ya know? Nobody to bother you... It's just tranquile." He smiled even bigger, closing his eyes. "What about you?"

"What I like about it is the moon being so bright some nights, and the stars being out, plus I am a night person," Maria said quietly and smiled. She looked to him and then looked to the ground.
She looked up to the sky, admiring how bright it was again. How you could see the shadow of every animal and living thing that was outside.
