W h y . W a s . I . R e j e c t e d?Your character's bio could have been rejected for a wide variety of reasons, but rest assured that it was nothing personal. The admin or moderator who rejected your application will always explain why and will suggest concrete areas for improvement. We want your character to be accepted! Here are some things that could have made your bio less-than-perfect: - Spelling & Grammar- Did your character's bio have many spelling and grammar mistakes? Be sure to use the spell-checker and take the time to compose understandable sentences.
- Description- How much detail did you have in the description of your character's personality and history? We don't want to know everything about your character in the application, since part of the fun of developing a character is discovering their nuances. However, we want to get some understanding of what they are like. Looking through accepted character applications will give you a good idea of how much information is needed.
- Character-Plot Fit- If we are concerned that some aspect of your character may not jive with the already-established plot elements in the story, we'll let you know (and help you brainstorm ideas for revision, if you request it).
Remember that you can create a new application as many times as you want before you are accepted. If you have been rejected and are still unsure of what you can do to improve your application, please feel free to PM Heidi or Tori.
